STS Department Location at UVa

The Department of Science and Technology Studies is located in the second floor of the "A" Wing of Thornton Hall (Building #46 on the following map). To walk to the STS Department from central grounds, walk along McCormick Road. Just after you cross the Emmet Street bridge, you will see Thornton Hall on the left. Enter the building through the front door, and walk down the hall to the right. You'll see stairs to the second floor. When you reach the second floor, continue until you are about to enter the Stacks computer facility. Turn left, and you will see the STS Department office (A237 Thornton Hall). Our hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
